DART PRIVACY STATEMENT
Although we are not a commercial operator we do want to make you aware of how we store and use your information.
This is a website for the DART (Development / Autism / Research / Technology) research group at the University of Edinburgh. This site is used to publicise the work of the DART team including
– Information about research projects, including calls to recruit participants
– news from the DART team including a Christmas message, annual summer newsletter, and intermittent updates
– a library of archived outputs including articles, talks and so on
– blogs by Sue and guest bloggers, including other members of the DART lab
This website processes the personal data of blog subscribers (your email address, your name), in order to effectively keep you up to date with our posts. To do so, we are using the google Feedburner facility. The information you provide can be accessed by the site administrator (Sue Fletcher-Watson) and is used to monitor interest in our different posts. Other personal data (e.g. your twitter handle, your facebook account name) maybe shared with the site administrator, if you use the social media buttons to share one of our pages on Facebook, Twitter or similar. We do not use profiling or automated decision-making. A human decision maker will always be involved before any decision is reached in relation to people who interact with the website. To unsubscribe from the blog or otherwise remove your data from the website database, please contact us with an email saying DART UNSUBSCRIBE.
The DART group also operates a mailing list for people who wish to hear news from the group directly via email (without subscribing to the blog). If you wish to opt-in ot this list, you can do so here.
