- illustrations to be integrated into slide shows, pupil worksheets and used online
Desired previous experience:

- experience participating in a collaborative and iterative design process
2. Graphic designer for teacher-facing materials
Design requirements:
- informative manuals for teacher use to guide them through the content
- worksheets and activity instructions to support teaching
- printable materials for use within activities, by both teachers and pupils
Desired previous experience:
- high quality design for educational / training purposes
- experience participating in a collaborative and iterative design process

Timeline and budget
Interested candidates should send a link to a portfolio of their work, with a covering email and optional CV, to the people at the foot of this page by 12pm, Tuesday 1st December. Please let us know which role you want to apply for, and how you meet the criteria above.
We will select a shortlist of designers based on their previous work and match to our criteria, and contact them for an initial discussion via videocall later that week.
After this we will pick out our preferred designers, one in each category. With them, during w/c 7th December, we will develop a more detailed design brief, with estimates of volume of work, milestones, and a corresponding budget.
As a guide, we expect that the work will mainly take place in January – March 2021, in an iterative cycle working closely with researchers. The maximum likely commitment is 2 days per week on average, but actual time will vary across the design period and cannot be specified yet. We think that the Illustrator role is likely to be a smaller commitment than the Graphic Design role. We are looking for people who are both willing and able to work flexibly and iteratively with the team.
